Amazon.com = low prices. Did you find this item priced lower than $99,999.99 somewhere else?
:)

Only if you go for the extra RAM but it could be worth waiting until Tiger comes out...

Too bad Amazon.com doesn't offer one of those "if you find it cheaper somewhere else within 30 days, let us know and we'll refund the difference plus 10%" deals... you could make out like a bandit. 10% of $97,000 (the likely difference) would be a cool $9,700 in your pocket, PLUS your Powerbook.

as long as you make sure to buy the RAM from Amazon as well... you figure if Amazon is saving you a bit of money on the notebook you might as well give them the order for the "higher-margin" memory :D
Edit: thanks for sharing - that was pretty funny.

No wonder people think Macs are more expensive. Why just a few weeks ago, you could buy a Sony with a P4 for $100 (also a price mistake, but it was funny).

Doesn't Amazon put that price in when the product price hasn't been determined yet? I remember seeing this before.

Woah... that's a huge price jump from the previous PowerBooks, and all you get is a few extra MHz, slightly larger hard drive, a fancy scrolling trackpad and Bluetooth 2.0.

I have one of those that I use to pay for work expenses, $10-$12K per month. I get a $25 Amazon gift certificate for each $2500 spent. I have 19 of these suckers sitting around.
