Is Verizon Unlimited Data Plan really unlimited?

Hello,

I'm just wondering if the Verizon Unlimited Data plan is really unlimited. I've heard its capped at 5gbs/month, but I can't find any hard evidence on their website. Anyone have experience with this?

They haven't stated an exact data level, only that the top 5% will have the speed throttled, but the actual amount of data should still be unlimited.

Think of it like unlimited salad bar but you can only get food served by very slow waitresses. Also they stop working intermittently for smoke breaks
 
Ok great. Thanks for the heads up. I've been a long time Verizon user, and just the the iPhone a week ago. With the ability to tether via jailbreak, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be charged up the wazoo!
 
Hmm, hadn't seen that link. Glad I got in when I did, I better be grandfathered in on the unlimited plan once they go tiered. Otherwise it'll be an easy way to get out of a contract and get another new phone.
