Well, until 10.3.8 I was enjoying using my (girlfriends) 15"pb (1.5ghz) as my home theater source. Really it is the only source I have since I am living in Taiwan now... Pre-10.3.8 I had a nice list of possible resolutions for my projector. Although, sadly it never had the native resolution. At least I had some 16:9 options like 1280x768. After the update it only lists 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768. It still detects the projector and pulls up the model number but doesn't give me the options for the screen ratio.

Does anyone know where I should start to track down this problem? Is it possible to manually set resolutions... I know both the gpu and the display support it, so if there is a way I would have no hesitation to fix this thing.

I wish I had brought the DVI connector for my 12" 1.33ghz pbook, but I didn't think I would need it. I wish I could see if it would work with mine... =\

i use switchresX that enables 1280x720 resolution that i can use with my projector. i strongly recommend that app, as those custom resolutions might never be officially supported by apple.

There are 2 apps that should do the trick: SwitchResX http://www.madrau.com/html/SRX/indexSRX.html and DisplayConfigX http://voodoofx.all.de/displayconfigx/

Please let me know if one of them (or both) solve your problem. I haven't used them yet but may be buying a projector soon and would like to use my powerbook as a source.
