Your flagship computer?

My 2006 iMac. I've had more powerful laptops and gaming rigs during the iMac's lifetime - but I always come back to the iMac for work, play and media/iPod organisation.

Soon to be replaced by a stonking maxed out 27" iMac once the new models are out!

For me, it is the iMac listed in my signature.

My only computer; my 13" mbp from late 2010.

MBA 13" Ultimate and I <3 it

My hex core Hackintosh with my 24" ACD.

My only computer, a late 2009 13'' MacBook, or at least I think it's from 2009, I'm not sure. I got it early 2010, so it's probably an '09 model.

2010 Mac Pro, 2.8 ghz Quad, 10 gb ram, 6 tb hd, ATI 5870 gpu with a 27" Dell & a 21" Eizo screen. Does everything I need it to do and more, I think this setup will last for years to come.

See signature. Just sold my old 17" 2.4C2D MBP to get this thing. Amazing difference. I'll wait for SSD prices to come down a little bit and upgrade the drive soon. Gotta love the free RAM upgrade from apple though. It arrived with 8GB instead of 4GB as my receipt shows.

My laptop, a MacBook Pro 17". It's been a reliable, stable, and portable work machine. Top of the line when I bought it, but now I can't talk myself into an upgrade to the new ones since THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS ONE!

On the plus side, I'm saving myself $2400 every month I don't buy a new one...

Sony Vaio PCG-505GX. Never had a computer like it. Got it in 1999. Yet to fail me yet. With 98SE on it, it still ****ing screams 12 years later. Never had a problem with it and has outlived 5 other PC laptops and a late 2008 Macbook. Even the battery is still kicking.

I'm hoping it will outlive my 2010 iMac.

flagship computer? i never really saw the need for more than one computer... i mean, how many can you use at once?

I have a 13'' mbp, last years model.

mid-2010 MBP 15inch. 8GB Memory, 500 GB HDD.

The iMac in my sig is my current "flagship", replacing my previous flagship, a late 2007 iMac 20" 2.0Ghz (the first aluminum model) that was stolen late last year. It's my master music workstation when I have time to tweak some filters, and my main iTunes Home Sharing server otherwise.

The MBP in my sig, although almost as powerful, is more of a portable media center/Internet client for trips, with the occasional website or two when I'm not near my iMac.

My "flagships" during my life so far, in forward chronological order:

• Quantex 486/DX33 PC with Windows 3.1, a nice little bit of kit back when Quantex was still a good company. Upgraded it myself to a Pentium/83.
• Compaq Deskpro EN 400, with Windows 95; eventually upgraded to Win ME, and had no real issues with ME like so many others have.
• Self-built Athlon 64 3500+ PC, with Windows XP Pro. My experience with transplanting expansion cards into the Quantex and Compaq helped out a lot here.
• iMac 20" mentioned above.
• iMac 21.5" in my sig.

For me, it's the 24" iMac listed in my signature. More than two years old now, and it's still performs wonderfully. The 4GB of RAM and the 1TB hard drive, is still more than enough for my needs. I do kind of want to trade it in for a new 27" model, but I'll probably keep it for another few years or until it dies.
