I've been kicking around the icloud name in my brain since apple unveiled it at WWDC. Actually since before that since it was one of apple's worst kept secrets.

The cloud name is certainly a popular buzzword but is it too popular and is it in danger of being over used?

Perhaps it doesn't mean anything but having an overused buzz word may work against apple once the the furor dies down. That is, the word may be more fad-like and trying to sell a server on a fad could be more difficult for apple

What do people think, am I all wet on this line of thought?

I think it pretty much is, or at least will be, the standard name for online storage.
