Anyone else have issues with swipes (forward/backward, top/bottom of page etc) not working in Firefox 5 on GM build?

for me swiping is working in no other browser then safari itself in lion GM. None of the other browser seem to work anymore, with three finger swipe now sliding the desktops around.

too bad because i prefer Chrome Sooooo much over safari. sigh.

plus i cannot get used to the fact that i now have inverted iOS swiping on my mac.

Use Safari. Turning out to be a lot better than Chrome or Firefox for me now, never really used it in Snow Leopard but it does everything I want it to do in Lion.

You know you can switch it back in preferences right?

Some of the features only work on native mac Applications..

It must be implemented via the new gestures API(s), which is a little annoying, I would have hoped the OS would just be issuing a Command-arrow or whatever so it would work with anything.

yes i do, but i wanted to give it a try. i still think it's a silly change, it's no iPad this MBP when i want to go down i scroll down. too much iOS in lion for my taste.

a browser that doesn't let me search in the address bar with few extensions stands no chance for me to be a primary browser. the reader and top sites are just bling that add nothing functional. safari is fast but in features still in 1999.

You can use the Trackpad preferences to change 3 finger swipes back to being back/forward. Fixes Chrome, Firefox, and Finder. (!)

Thanks for that; you can even change it to work for both 2 and 3 finger swipes which at least gets back/forward working in Firefox.

4 fingers is the new universal swipe. as for the pushing the content back and forth in safari. it is and always will be safari only, that is until someone rips them off on that too.

Switching to 3 finger swipe only make chrome crash for me..

I wish I could do that. But I have become so used to pinned/app tabs. It's really impossible to let go of those features presente in FF5 or Chrome. I hope it comes to Safari someday.

I have also moved back to safari. I am liking the fullscreen browsing and gestures are just too screwed up in chrome at the moment.

I might switch back when google manage to sort everything out, but for the moment I'm staying with safari.
