I take it that TRIM works by default and flawlessly for the 2011 MBAs? For both Samsung and Toshiba drives?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Do we need to run any trim software periodically similar to windows? Or does it automatically do it for you?

Where does it show this?

In system profiler, under the Serial-ATA tab.

Which is in the Utility Folder.

Of course there are other ways to open that but that is the direct route.

If it's real TRIM and it works properly, as far as I understand it's that you don't need to run anything periodically and it just takes care of itself.

This is excellent news, and a good question OP.

Something even arstechnica.com did not include in their Lion review (or as it should be know as "Encyclopedia Lion-ica").
