Did you mean 2.26? The 2.16 is a late 2007 model. If you did mean 2.26, it appears that it will support 4Gs (Apple confirmed) but, shown to support up to 8Gs.

Yah sorry typo, its 2.26ghz.

So that means I can put in 2x4GB sticks in it for a total of 8?

I have a late 08 aluminum macbook and just did the 2x4GB swap and everything is fine. Surely yours will be ok if I can run it on mine.

I've just upgraded mine to 2x4gb and it runs fine. Applications start up faster.
