Anyone else blown away by the iPad 3s voice recognition?

I expected it to be very sketchy and inaccurate, but it's incredibly accurate. It rarely makes mistakes, and I'm pleased that it also does punctuation marks.

I use iMessage to text my friends and family, and I don't even type on the keyboard anymore. It's that good.

I was envious of my friends who have the swipe feature on android phones. Now we have something good.

This whole post was used just with my voice, and it never made a single mistake.

But I am curious how it works with people that have heavy accents or who's English isn't the best.
 
My experience has been similar to yours. I hardly ever use the keyboard anymore. I send most of my text messages and my email replies by generating text using the dictation system.

This comment was generated using the voice to text system.

Yes quite amazing, next is SIRI! this a MAJOR feature of iP3
 
While limited, I have to agree that is seems way more accurate than siri. Using it while working on keynote and emails is great! 🙂
 
Siri is coming to iPad 3 in iOS 6. I'll bet my paycheck on it. That's the only reason voice recognition is integrated now. Come WWDC they will announce Siri for ipad is coming along side of voice dictation. 😎

Vocie sucks, no Swedish diction makes it so bad. Just like the 4G options outside US. So much money and still so cheap 😀
 
I couldn't believe how well the voice dictation handled swear words, my verbal abuse emails are now a thing of beauty, without even touching the keyboard
 
Dictation mode works way better than I expected. I also the feature on my iPhone. It really is a great help texting while in the car.
