Did you see that OWC sells MBA flash storage

OWC may include some directions, if all else fails head over to iFixit. They have a lot of tear down guides. They seem to be offline right now, so I cannot confirm

What year is your MacBook air, 2010 or 2011? OWC has a chat client that might be fairly useful in making sure you get exactly what you need.

Their drives for the MBA come with the Pentalobe and Torx T-5 drivers.

I'm not understanding the 2011 in conjunction with the Samsung hard disk drive and your title about SSD issues.

The early 2008 MBA used the 80GB hard disk you referenced. Late 2008 and 2009 models used a different 120GB hard disk or optional solid-state disk. 2010 and later models are all SSD.

What is the Model Number on the bottom of the computer?

If it's A1237 (which I'd guess from the 80GB hard disk) then you're looking for a 1.8" drive replacement. See http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Aura_Pro_1.8

I strong recommend you pick up the telephone and CALL OWC to ensure you get exactly the correct replacement drive.

I'm reasonably sure those won't fit any MBA that came with a hard disk. I believe the blade SSD's first appeared in the Late 2010 models.

900 dollars? -_- has no one else noticed that price?! the 80 gb hard drive in the mba can be had for 60 dollars.
