You need something like a Griffin iMic (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic2/index.php).

I'm so confused. This doll that you were shopping for can sing? And you want to record it? :o

Another MR poster that creates a thread with a title that has nothing to do with the topic in question, or visa versa.

And they say people do not have a short attention span.

Is there a reason you can't use the built in microphone?

She was out shopping for a doll when all of a sudden she wanted to know how to record on to her ibook? Like you guys, I don't see the connection. But oh well, hopefully she checks out the iMic and gets what she needs.

Or it is a a he (judging by the username) who was out shopping for a dell? Yuck!

what is there to understand? Someone suggested something too! So even if your story didn't quite make sense you still got a good suggestion out of it.

Do I have to spell it out? C-H-E-E-S-E-A-N-D-O-N-I-O-N-S (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=14268749&s=143441&i=14268747), oh no.
