View Full Version : using PBG4 17" as display with pc laptop?

hi everyone, i am being forced to use a friend's pc laptop for a pc-only program for work. is there anyway I can hook it up with my 17" powerbook to use my mac as a display? my friend's pc (samsung v30) has a dead line in its display.

I posted a while back with a similar question but nobody knew how. I'm not sure it's possible to put have a video input to the Powerbook. Link (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=148128).

I know it might sound stupid but you could use Remote Desktop. Assuming it's an XP Machine (might have to be Pro?) turn on remote desktop. Microsoft has a Remote Desktop client for Mac/Linux, just download it and connect to the Windows machine. I do this for work all the time, but I'm mainly connecting to headless server machines or one I'm just too lazy to walk 6 feet to. Works great for me.
