Private Messages ~ A little bump?

This past week, I've had to empty my private message box three times! I'm about to do it again. Can't we raise the limit to around 100? Or, if you buy the Demi-God/dess package, you can get more messages?

Just a thought.

Delete all the ones in your "sent" box that you don't need anymore.

you can also save them all to text, then delete them all from your PM box. :)

Heh, there's a pic below.Geez, I have (counts files) 53 text files containing all of the PMs I've sent and received on MR. (I used the export option to save them out.)

Yes, I keep all my PMs... I treat them like e-mails that I want to keep. I still have e-mail from as far back as 1992 in some of my folders. :)

Be glad that you're not a moderator having to PM a bunch of people. I'm still at a maximum of 100 messages and continually have to keep things cleaned out.

Nice. I only have to clear my PMs less than twice as often. Yay! :)

BTW, if you're getting PMs from the same few people over and over then I recommend using MSN Messenger. It's a brilliant, stable, intuitive, well integrated app.

Mine still says 70 max...where are you seeing 150?

It takes like 5 seconds to empty your PMs...you're on here a lot more than 5 seconds a day...empty them every night.

Yeah, I have 150 maximum PMs as well now - didn't actually notice when that change took place, but it's nice to have I guess. Mind you, I'm so conscious now of how quickly the PMs build up, I try to keep things as lean as possible anyway, regardless if the limit was 50 or 150.

I do think that those of us that have become Demi Gods should have greater email storage on MR. It can be looked at as a value add.

I have some posts that I have not had time in moving off MR to more permeant storage.

I would be willing to give up on the "private" forum for more storage space. Hell I might be willing to kick in more money for the privilege.

It appears that the quota is based on number of messages, not the space they take. I would still like to see a difference for those of us that sending money to MR, as to those that think post counts are all there is.

A cute teenage girl on a message board about niche computers not getting a billion private messages? Not possible I tells ya'. Check to make sure you're enabled. If so, change your avatar to a pic of a Russian lesbian and be a little more mysterious. I'm sure you'll get lots of teenage (and not so teenage) guys (and not so guys) sending you inappropriate messages asking you what you're wearing.

I'd do so myself, but that would be wrong.
