Conroe is a desktop part while merom is for notebooks...

Another good site is Mike's Hardware (http://www.mikeshardware.co.uk/index.htm). Click on the "Roadmap" link on the left and choose a time period (e.g. "Q3 2006") to read about all the exciting stuff that's up and coming. Oh, and you can read about Windows Vista too.
