what? i was just in Security on System Preferences and apparently "This computer will work with any available remote." what does that mean? i unchecked the box... thankx

I tTried apple remote and guess what.. nothing!!!

What kind of iBook G4, and which OS revision? you don't have anything with an IR receiver plugged in, do you? The iBook G4 does not *have* IR built-in. And it oughtn't work with a BT remote unless it was paired first. But I don't even *have* the option you list on mine.

Ahem, also, did you install Frontrow on this by any chance? :D

Machts nichts to me. But FrontRow uses an IR remote. Get it? ;) That might be what causes you to have such an option in your System Preferences. :D When no one else does on their iBooks. :p
