I ended up with the 2.16, and the 7200rpm. The ram I'm buying myself.


Anywho, one of the first things I'll be doing is installing BootCamp. BF2 on a mac..........My pc is now firewood.

It's ok, <b>I</b> still consider it the same lappy bday.

As soon as I'm done trasnferring all of my junk, I'll be loading xp with boot camp (mostly for photoshop....and bf2 :D ) If you have any other apps you want me to benchmark for you in the meantime, gimme a holler.

I think I need a cigarette or a strong drink though. $3500!!!!!

No benchmarks needed. Who cares about a 5% increase in speed or whatever. I will need help, however, on the basic set up, what to look for, and all that jazz.

damn, i spent less than 40% on a 15" PB referb only a few months ago. i wish i had the money to throw down 3500 though, that is an awsome set up! im hopeing once i get a full time job i will be able to afforad something like that (right now im a college student so not too much worry that i cant afford that)

Yes, you can get 2.16+7200RPM HD at Apple Stores...it's the "Ultimate" configuration. I picked mine up last week.

yeah i only plan on picking up a macbook and mighty mouse, so thats great! now heres hoping the regents street apple store has this so called 'ultimate' configuration (and with 2gigs ram...)

ah annoying! guess ill have to order it...hmm time to think this over

its annoying though because i wanted to make sure i get a W8613 (the noise issue matters, i do a lot of music production)

As a heads up, the Apple store claims 24hour shipping, but when I placed my order it isn't shipping until the 12th!!

Mine is definitely a BTO though. I went with the 2.16, 7200 RPM and the 2 gigs RAM. Wonder why its shipping late ...
