There is a 6 page article on Jonathan Ive and apple design in this months 'Face' magazine (British Fasion/Culture magazine).
It has a zombie on the cover
http://www.theface.co.uk/ (http://) is their site but it is down.

just to expand...
- it gives an overview to how the design team works
- who works there
- jonathan's design history (he used to make sinks {talk about moving up in the world})
- history of apple design
- jonathan talking about the future of apple design
- his frustration with the apple secrecy clause...

I'll post it up here if I can figure out the OCR on my scanner - if anyone is interested that is.

Thanks for the tip...

Picked up the mag at Borders today after calling around a bit...$9.28 after tax.

Pretty interesting read - though it could be longer, it did describe probably as much as he's allowed to say about his work.

Good find, pauld.

I think everyone is frustrated by the NDA that *every* single apple employee and other people (developers, people in the ADC, people trying out beta or prerelease software) have to sign.

Jonathan Ive is so cute...he's great too.
You can find everything bout his life by doing a google search though. Maybe i should go looking for that magazine...

no way...:'(
he can't be (tears streaming down face).
but the odds of marrying him are like zero. he's almost 40 and i'm not even 15.

no problem - if i have time i'll put up the transcript on thursday evening GMT.

Odd that a Harmon Kardon add is adjecent to the article - this happened also with the last apple related artice in 'The Face'.
Its almost as if including the advert is some sort of deal they made to get the interview.

NB - the guy has seriously good taste in music - i dont know anyone neaing 40 who is into speedy J!
