I'm wearing an Apple shirt too, although you can't see it...

So, are you Photoshopped in, or were you actually there with her?

BTW, I'm a sucker for the eyeglasses (not yours :)). I've always thought she was cute.

Edit: www.lisaloeb.com

She's a singer. Here most known song is probably 'Stay'.

90's female vocalist, she was popular for a year or so, i think she was involved in promoting female rights too. not a bad voice, but trite lyrics and delivery in my opinion.

Ummm, if I could move it I guess so. But a Picture Gallery forum is no good for photos?

No Photoshop. The real deal.

I don't see a problem with a new thread. If some other mod does, so be it, but I'm not worried about it being moved.

I love that one song... "You say, I only hear what I want to..." :D

Damn, I'm envious. I've met quite a few famous people, but none of them are anywhere NEAR as cute as Lisa Loeb. (I get to meet folks like Bill Gates and Fred Dalton Thompson. Not cute AT ALL.)

Now if only I could get her away from Dweezil Zappa (her husband)... sigh. :)

You say I only hear what I want to.
You say I talk so all the time so.
And I thought what I felt was simple,
and I thought that I don't belong,
and now that I am leaving,
now I know that I did something wrong 'cause I missed you.
Yeah yeah, I missed you.
And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.
So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
and this woman was singing my song:
lover's in love, and the other's run away,
lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.
Some of us hover when we weep for the other who was
dying since the day they were born.
Well, well, this is not that;
I think that I'm throwing, but I'm thrown.
And I thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.
You try to tell me that I'm clever,
but that won't take me anyhow, or anywhere with you.
You said that I was naive,
and I thought that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."
Oh, but now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.
Yeah, I miss you.
You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."
You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just
scared to lose.
And you say, "Stay."
And you say I only hear what I want to.

I worked with her and Dweezil about a year ago on their cookbook. Nice people.

Ah, yes Lisa Loeb. I remember her, a bit of a one-hit wonder (so far as the UK charts are concerned. I seem to recall she won a Brit award for Best International Newcomer or something like that, and it was clear that Tom Jones (who was presenting the award) didn't have a clue who the hell she was. :D

Just because you posted before me Mr J, doesn't mean you get first dibbs... get in line fella. ;) :DNot only did I post first, but I also have somewhat of a geographical advantage over you. ;)

And, like Miss Loeb, I wear glasses and can't wear contacts.

I have an even better advantage. Ive spotted her in my neighborhood at least 3 times in the past year. My wife on the other hand will probably not approve.

She does have a show where she goes on dates and is looking for "the guy". I saw one episode where her date chose to sing her one hit at a keraoke party. BAD MOVE DUDE! What the hell was he thinking? Did he think she would find it cute? It was painfull to watch to say the least. She had a look on her face like she wanted to run out of the club really really fast.

You mean, statistically?

Yeah, a chance...

Lessee, how many males are there in America plus those willing to travel to America, less those that are attached and unwilling to throw it over for the divine Miss LL -- wait that number is probably statistically insignificant -- OK, yeah, ClayJ, like I said, a chance...

I was goofing on Jim Carrey's line from Dumb and Dumber where his character tells the girl "So you're telling me there's a chance" when she tells him that the odds of her leaving her husband for him are like a million to one. ;)

Hope you and Mrs. Peterparker are doing well.

Lucky. I don't get to meet anyone cool.

One time I saw Destiny's Child from far away at the Rodeo.

I was floored, too.

Neat! I hope you and Mrs. Redshirt had fun :D

The only two times I have hung out with him, we have both received an apple shirt.

What is wrong with a man who never has to pay for his wardrobe. Any wife can appreciate that, right?:D

My wife, "is that the store that gives you the free shirts?"
