I was really scared, it was on for like 15 minutes.



Now it sounds normal.

Has this happened to you?

What could this be?

Its happened three times today.

I thought this was a battery power issue, and my iMac has no battery. :confused:

It has a power supply though, which i have replaced 3 of them already because of a high pitched whine.

Sounds like tinnitus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus) to me. See a doctor.

It is not an ear problem, I put my ear up to my iMac, it's making the sound.
