If Sigma makes such a lens I can more or less forget about full frame and stay on Nikon, as there is already a digital fisheye (as long as they don't make another FF lens wider than 12mm).

Of course, the issue still remains about all the IS, DO and long used teles available for Canon.

Nikon should start making DX superteles if they are so commited to APS-C.
How much lighter could they be? This could be a serious incentive to switch to Nikon.
But they would also have to introduce DO if they really wanted to be competitive.

They won't, because the lenses have to be a certain size in order to have that particular focal length and aperture combo- a size big enough to cover 35mm ANYWAYS.

No super tele will have a significant size or weight advantage if made 'dx'.

DX means telecentric more than anything else.

Then they should just stop messing around and make a full frame DSLR.
Let DxO take care of the falloff.
