I think only the last of the iBooks have SMS (1.42Ghz 14" and 1.33Ghz 12" models). If that's the case then no, you can't run smackbook.

I may be wrong, though.

Use Applications>Utilities>Apple System Profiler to find out. Open it and under the initial hardware tab at the bottom it should say:
Sudden Motion Sensor
enabled.

If you don't see that then you cannot use Smackbook (which is only cool for about 10 minutes anyway).

Smackbook gets old old very fast and requires you to give your precious quite a whack :( Desktop Manager, which is often used with Smackbook is a great App I use all the time. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21594 (Desktop Manager)

Well this article (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300781) states all the Mac's with the Motion Sensor Sensor. Not sure why it won't work if your Mac has this feature..

Check in System Profiler to see if your machine has Sudden Motion Sensor. If it doesn't, you're out of luck.
