I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB.
I just got a Colorvision Spyder2express.

This version of the software only calibrates to 6500K and 2.2 gamma.
So I set the monitor to sRGB mode, but then the brightness and contrast cannot be adjusted (and the SuperBright modes do not work).

According to the calibration procedure, I should first adjust the contrast (which seems OK), and the brightness (which seems to be completely off as the 4 dark gray rectangles are all black, not just one).
After going through the process, the result comparison shows that some shadow detail was recovered, but there are still a couple of dark grays which look black.

If I set the monitor to a different temperature, I can adjust the brightness so that the initial control rectangles show a gradation, but of course, then the calibration is wrong, because of the 6500K assumption.

So, completely out of luck with this setup?

OK, I figured out that I can change one of the other monitor temperature settings to 6500K, so that I can adjust contrast and brightness.

But I am not sure if the result has a pink cast.
