problem with airport

recently airport has been randomly deciding to not recognize my network, even when i type in the network name it'll show "error joining network". This is really annoying. It'll usually work if i just reset my router/modem. Does anyone know what's going on here? I just installed the airport update 4.2, I'm hoping that's the fix. Anyone know if there's any other things that might be an issue?
Computer:

powermac g4 quicksilver
belkin wifi card (broadcom chip)

Router:

linksys mess

Is your router Firmware up to date?

I'd agree with iBenzin, you should check to see if your lynksis is up to date you should be able to check by going to http://192.168.1.1 in your browser window.

the signal might not be correct. My airport card gave me similar problems before, and I soon learned it was because I didnt have Wireless B enabled (G network). Once I enabled B+G it worked fine.

I've got version 1.50.6. Not sure if this is up to date or what, i doubt it. How do I update it?



Also, i've got it set on only G. Which is what my wifi card is. Thanks anyway.
