I don't really remember big WWDC announcements in the past. Could someone refresh my memory?

It just seems everyone is getting dressed up for a party that's been strictly casual in the past.

I remember that, someone took a quick pic of "Coming Soon" and a picture of an X-Serve underneath.

That was one thing that stirred up the forums.

the death of OS 9 was declared by Steve Jobs at WWDC too, if that counts as a major announcement.
