if you look at the macrumors faq section about demis, it states that membership includes:

A Demi-God, Demi-Goddess, or Contributor user title, if you want it.

if i had to guess, i'd think you could opt not to take on a title.

Sorry, I was only here off and on over the past two weeks. This is the first chance I had to bring it up.

Actually, it was a post you made, I think it was yesterday, saying that you had finally hit 5000 that made me remember your word. :D
