I think I read in the manual distributed to AT&T stores that the demo units would come with iPod content already installed, and voice mail messages so they could demo that feature. I don't think the stores have to do it themselves.

So this is probably a demo unit shipped already activated and synced by Apple. Ready to demo.

And, btw, if you search his previous posts, he has already said he works at a Cingular/AT&T store. He hasn't exactly hidden that.

This is the first civilian I have seen taking a self portrait with the new iPhone.
