I have downloaded iStat Pro and I come to find that my temps seem high. Can I have some feedback on these temperatures? Thanks!

They're normal temperatures. I'd have thought 43°F would be far too low for the CPU unless the machine has just been started.

43F on an Imac?

Where the (#*$ do you live???

When was the last time you paid your heating bill?

I've gotten ~40 °F off of my iMac G5. Then again I did spend that winter in a room without any insulation. Ugh...:(

Those temperatures are not bad at all, under load my MacBook Pro will easily get around 170F.

iBook's are crazy hot. I can't touch my palmrest now, so it's quite awkward typing this .

I've used quite a few iBooks in my time and despite their use of the keyboard to dissipate heat, I've never felt they were overly warm. I hope nothing's wrong with yours. :)

The heat doesn't bug me at all. And the coolest I've had is 73º, and the most cheating coolest I've had was 27º :D

I don't think those look too bad, I had a similar problem but mine was a bit more extreme as the computer would go to sleep after about half an hour from the high temps.

Usually when I awoke it from sleep the temp would be around 120-130F but would quickly get up to the 150s and then sleep when it hit 164. It would be pretty much unusable until I let it cool down for a few hours. The Applecare tech said it could have been just that the sensors were off. My logic board was replaced 6 weeks ago and I guess sometimes they can "bump" something which causes the computer to think it's overheating when it's really not.

I wasn't about to go in for another (this would be No. 6 for various problems) trip to the genius bar and luckily they agreed and I'm currently awaiting my new machine

Here was my original post on it:: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=329383
