Desktop Calendar

Hi,
Im wondering if there is any other way besides using Geektool or a widget to place a calendar on my desktop?
Any suggestions?

I think MagiCal can do it.

Yahoo! Widgets has several. I keep a mini calendar on my desktop.

I checked out MagiCal as it seemed to be what I wanted, but when I checked float calendar on desktop, nothing happened.
The calendar would not appear.


And to PeggyD:
I had a yahoo widget for some time, but after viewing the "Post Your Desktop" thread and seeing the many calendars, I started searching for an alternative.
