I already have a macbook, but would also like a desktop mac to go along with it. I mostly want to run windows on it and listen to music. Would I be better off getting a mac mini with a 20 inch ACD or a 20 inch imac?

Go for the 20" iMac all the way... dedicated graphics, better processor, bigger hard drive - great value for money!

Get the cheapest iMac. However, if you want to run Windows, you might want to invest in a large wooden stick with a nail in it and hit yourself repeatedly in the face. It'd be more fun.
