How did you get the spaces between the app icons on the dock?

Looks cool.

You get get the spaces by using Black Dock Separators (http://www.maxthemes.com/guistuff/?guistuff=Blank%20Dock%20Separators). They are basically just apps that do nothing, with no name nor icon which sit in your dock giving the appearance of spaces. They're good for keeping your dock clean and sorted.

Yeah, I see so many people still actually opening the Grab application and it's so much easier just to use the keyboard shortcut, IMO. Plus, when you use Grab, it shows up in the menu bar. That just irks me.

Iamtherealwoody

hey guys, how are you changing your docks?

You modify the files in /root(whatever your root name is/system/library/CoreServices/dock -> show package contents of dock -> contents/resources

The files are scurve*, there are 4 of them. Id suggest backing up before you do anything, i backed up my entire resources folder.

First you need to copy the files you want to modify to a new folder (on the desktop for ease), then you need to delete the files you will be replacing in the resources folder. copy the moded files into the resources folder then run
killall Dock
in the terminal.

Theres a whole thread on it here
Improve the appearance of the dock shelf (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=377894)

Mine currently
I can provide you with my moded files if youd like

hey guys, how are you changing your docks? There's also Apple's way to do it, by typing:

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES; killall Dock

Into a Terminal window. To change it back to the original "shelf" look, you just change the YES in the command to a NO. Enjoy :)
