Do the G5's....

So, do the new G5's have a way of measuring their cpu temperature?? Would assume they must have since they have independant fans. Be intersted to know. Nice to have a little toolbar cpu temperature readout.

hhmmm... i'm not too sure about that. you might have to check Apple's KnowlegeBase. there might be some documentation about it in there.

My 1999 iBook 300MHz can do this (I think everything with the NewWorld ROM can).

Probably all IBM chips can do it. Dont think G4's can though.

Cheers. I once ran the temperature sensor on my machine and it did not work. I have the Dual 1Ghz SDRAM. Oh well. Should work with the G5's.
