Hi, i ordered Final Cut Express 4 from Apple, it arrived yesterday while i was at work, so i asked my brother to install it for me (you've probably seen him post on this forum under the name MrGeePee)
The idiot put his nick-name in the Licensed/Registered To box
Really pissed me off as its my Mac and not his. I know its not a big deal but i like things done right lol.
Is there anyway i can edit this? i tried re-uninstalling the program but it doesn't ask me for the license the 2nd time around.
Thanks.

I've not used Final Cut, but Apple does put the .plist with the serial number for iWork in HD > Library > Preferences, so you might look there. There also is likely another .plist in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences that keeps the individual user's preferences.

There is this file: com.apple.RegFinalCutExpress.plist
Which is in HD -> Library -> Preferences
It doesn't contain my name, but maybe removing it will force a re-registration?

i dont have that file either. maybe that file is from FCE 3.
delete or move the "Final Cut Express System ID" file in /Library/Application Support/ProApps & then open FCE and re-enter your name and serial :D
