Apple released Pole Position Remix (iTunes Link) (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewGame?id=272017173&s=143441) game for iPods today on the iTunes store. The newest iPod game is from Namco and refreshes the classic Pole Position game. Race to the finish line in Namco's classic arcade racer, Pole Position, remixed for the iPod. Avoid hitting cars, billboards, and other obstacles and downshift to make hairpin turns without careening off the track. Points are awarded for the distance you travel and for each enemycar you pass. Race well to unlock additional tracks, cars, billboards, and more.

I'd be psyched to see more classic games ported to iPod. Nothing like a little nostalgia in your pocket...

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

I used to love this game. I wonder what versions of the iPod it is available for.

I think that they should go after a lot of the old games like Nintendo did with the WII. I spend more time playing the old downloaded games and the GameCube games on my WII than I do the actual bought games.

wow this game is pretty awsome :)

decent graphics and speeds along nicely. a bit hard to handle around the corners but nothing too hard to manage.

4/5, 2nd best ipod game yet!

If I had a nickel for every quarter I put in a Pole Position machine, I'd be... er, nevermind.

That is a classic. Glad to see it stayin' alive. Eye-eye-eye-eye stayin' alive, stayin' alive. (That's another classic.)
