When the pointer hovers over a link, stop scrolling.

I've had this discussion with some of my fellow Forum Spy users and I like it.

It would be nice. I go to countless numbers of threads that I didn't mean to, because between the time I click and the time the site registers the click, the list has shifted.

Same. I've resorted to using the "New Posts" button next to it, instead.

I Admin a few boards, I don't believe that is possible.

Can't you call up a javascript clientside with onMouseOver that disconnects forums spy from the server?

we had this working in one of the test versions. it was done as a what if... but felt wrong as I recall.

I'll see if we can revisit it.

Arn, I'd be interested in knowing the progress on that (if/when there is). I know it has to be manipulated on the client side, something I shy away from. But, I'd love to know for personal future reference.

Just to add myself to the bunch, I'd love to see this implemented.

Never liked forum spy for that very reason, everything moved to fast for me. I loves me some New Posts though.

Maybe you can stop querying the server, but in any case, you have to set a flag that the response handler checks when there is a pending request, so that it will cache its result for later display.

Ditto my fellow forumites ;) I'd be happy with a pause button.

same here, i try it every now and then, and its great, but usually moves to fast and i misclick sometimes which is just frustrating. being able to slow it/stop it with a mouseover would be great.
