So I have a rather funny video from school that I want to upload to facebook. The problem is that it has alot of profanity in it. So I want to bleep things out(and not silence them since hearing Bleep Bleep Bleep is funny) just like they do it on tv.
After doing a google search and a search on here I came with nothing except the fact that TV bleeps are 1000 Hz tones. Im sure this is a very easy thing to do and that some wise person on these forums will know how to do this.
So what do I need to do?

Download the program Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and then click Generate > Tone:
Waveform: Sine
Frequency: 1000
Legth: As long as you want

That will make the sound but, I'm not to sure how to put that in to QT Pro. (I don't own it). I'm assuming you can import it...
Hope that helps.

QT Pro is not set up to do multiple tracks like that. Your best bet would be to use iMovie. You may have to first convert the video to DV to import to iMovie, but I'm not sure.

...iMovie is not limited to DV. It can handle just about any QuickTime-compatible frame-based format.

Can't I just extract the audio track, add the tone in audacity, re-import the audio, and then export a movie that can be uploaded to facebook?

This should work but I don't know how to reimport the audio.

Well i'd assume being apple that it would be as simple as drag and drop. I can combine movies the same way. It is very easy for simple stuff.

I have used QT Pro to make music videos, and it is difficult. You can copy the audio, but cannot remove it. So the original audio track will need to be muted, then simply use the add to movie option to add the track to the video. Be careful because a simple paste will offset the audio from the video and one will not start until the other is finished.
