I have 2 episodes of a tv show, that i want to import into iMovie and make 1 disk. The shows are in mpeg format, and for some reason when I import the files, the sound is missing. Anyone ever had this problem?

Anyone ever had this problem? This is very common. The mpg file that you have is muxed and needs to be de-muxed. Basically, the audio and video needs to be separated from each other first.

Here's what you'll need.

1. bbDemux or More Missing Tools - both are freeware, but I've had more success with MMT.

2. iTunes - to convert the m2a (mpeg audio) file to aiff.

3. Quicktime Pro - recombine the aiff with the mpg video file.

I've posted some more detail instructions on how to de-mux an mpg file suitable for iMovie.
