AirPort configuration help needed

Hello! I just set up my AirPort Extreme Base Station, and while the Base Station pretty much connected itself, I want to configure its settings. So I used the Admin Utility, but whenever I put in the password public (or any password, since I did not set up a password) it responds that "The AirPort Admin Utility was unable to read the configuration of the selected base station. An error occured while reading the configuration." Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you try a hard reset?

i got it to work after hard resetting, then restarting, reconnecting with internet connect, and then configuring again. thank you

P. S. I don't think this is a very reliable solution, it took me a couple of resets after that once i could configure it once
