So... How much do you think the new Macbook Aluminum costs Apple to make?

Didn't apple mention on a call to shareholders that a new design and manufacturing process will mean Apple wouldn't enjoy such a high profit margin, at-least to start with?

I'm guessing it's reasonably low compared to past products, however will increase as time moves on!

Well, 30% sounds low considering that an iPod Nano costs 20-40 bucks to make. I think Apple makes 50% on these, so $650 for a 2.0Ghz:apple:

Welcome to corporate america!😛

The cost to make it is only one factor in its retail price. There's research, engineering, shipping, marketing and a host of other costs involved.
