Changing default DVD recorder

I bought a new SONY 500A for my DP MDD and now I have that and the Apple Superdrive in there... The good news is the SONY drive is Apple Supported (I checked in Hardware Profiles) so I know the iApps CAN burn on the Sony, however for iDVD and DVD Studio Pro where there is no drive selection, it defaults to my A04 (Superdrive).

How do I change it to default to my SONY?

My guess would be to change the master/slave settings on the drives. The iApps probably look for that setting. Just a guess though...

I was thinking that except it is Cable Select. I dont want to mess anything up

iDVD will only work with Apples Superdrive unless you get a patch of some sort. Check www.xlr8yourmac.com for information on potential patches.

Well, if that's the case, then just switch them in your tower. Although as MacBandit said, you'll probably need a hack too...
