I'd like to sell my iMac and upgrade to a Mac Pro. I don't necessarily need a better processor, but I need the option to upgrade my video card for use in Windows.
I qualify for the Student Developers Program, which means after the $100 fee, the grand total on a 4-core MP is $1,939.
I could never afford the 8-core model, but under two grand is possibly feasible. But, do I need to bite now. Or do you think a "cheap downgrade" option will be available after the revision?
