Does anybody have any experience with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28? Any comments or opinions would be appreciated.

I would use it as a relatively inexpensive compact camera for when I'm traveling and don't want to have a lot of camera equipment with me. As a frame of reference; I find I use the telephoto range of a zoom lens a lot which is why I'm interested in an ultra zoom. Also, I often need to take pictures in relatively low light levels.

I've read several reviews and it does seem to get relatively good press.

It is one of the few on my 'green light' lists. Cameras I recommend or advise people to buy. It is a great camera and has very good features. Survives gatoraid too (my friend dumped it in the powerder while trekking in China).
