They're still at $2599.

Maybe when they get the new ones, they'll drop the price to $2000. If so, I'll bite.

Anywhere else I should stay on the lookout?
 
Why not just get a new one. The new base model ($2299 on student discount) is supposed to be faster even though it does not hold near as much ram.
 
Yeah, Personally I am going to be picking up the new Quad on an ADC Student discount for $1999.
 
Try an apple store, they will give you an additional clearance price off the student discount. was 2399 in canada (from 2699 edu price)
