You can't just google the Myst release date and find it that easily . You first have to collect all the coloured marbles, fill up the wooden buckets in the swamp age with giant caterpillar juice which will reveal the linking book, then teleport to the water age, where you'll find the submerged library. In the library you have to sort the brass weights in order from smallest to largest which will reveal a secret room behind the bookcase where there's an employee from cyan in a hammock. If you give the employee D'ni 2 runes from your inventory (that you previously were given in the fire age by Abanachaar) and tickle his feet with a feather he'll tell you.

... Wow. You just made me feel ancient by knowing that there's at least someone out there not living or too young at the time Myst came out, that's old enough now to post on MacRumors asking what Myst is.
Let's just say Myst almost single-handedly bought the compact disc to computers, signifying the beginning of the long and slow death of the floppy.

Yep - I got it (posted here (http://www.geardiary.com/2009/05/04/myst-lands-on-the-itunes-app-store-like-a-16-ton-weight/))
It really *is* ~750MB ... it really *does* take up 1.5GB to install ... and it really *is* just good ol' Myst like you remember but looking really excellent and sounding good too. As I said in the comments, for $6 it is better than the DS or PSP versions!

Nice write up. I take it you've played all the Myst games. I will get this one, for posterity if nothing else. Plus, to support Cyan which could barely keep Uru live going.
