Hello. I searched but could not find anything specific to my setup.
I have a Panasonic AG-DVX100a that has a 4 pin connector (firewire 400 I assume or maybe it doesn't have a spec?). I have final cut 5.1. Will a 4 pin to 8 pin firewire cable or adaptor work?
This all came up when I got my new MacBook Pro 2009 to replace my old MacBook Pro. The new computer has only has a firewire 800 port (not sure if it is backwards compatible)
Do I need to update from FCP 5.1 for any reason?
