Anyone know if Apple makes a car/plane adapter for the Powerbooks? I can't seem to find one on their site.

If they don't, can someone reccommend a good third-party alternative?

Almost every online retailer for Apple would carry one, if not more. Macmall, Maczone, Macconnection, CDW, and I would think even Amazon.com.

Searching applestore.com under powerbook accessories or powerbook car adapter comes up with these:

Edit: I had two links here but they only work during that browsing session...crap. Anyway, go and search for powerbook car adapter...you need to select "see more or all accessories" and I believe they are both on the second or third page of accessories. In doing this I learned how terrible the Applestore.com search page is. They probably do that on purpose to make you look at all the accessories, but there was no way I could get the page to come up with just the two car adapters on it...I tried using quotes, just searching accessories, etc.

Good luck

When mine crapped out, I bought one of these so I could charge my iBook in the car as well as at home. www.iGo.com (http://www.igo.com/Product_Detail.asp?ProductCode=MOB+PS0055-11)
