They see an uptick in shipments now, so its reasonable for them to make such an assessment. They also want to project that things are getting back to normal so those people/businesses who are on the fence may decide to spend the money,i.e., trying to make it a self-fullfilling prophesy.

It's not as if the enterprise is suddenly going to switch to Mac. So I don't see anything here as self-fulfilling prophecy. Either way Intel wins.
