Hi,
I have just inherited a PB 1400 running OS8.? and want to get an ethernet card working on it. I have a old 3com PCMCIA ethernet card 3CXE589DC and wonder is anyone could advise me how I can get the mac to work with this.

At the moment when I insert the card I get a message saying the required software is not installed do I want to eject?

How do I proceed from here?

Thanks in advance.

Go to manufacturers website, look for Mac compatible downloads.

I've got bad news for you. The driver download site says that there aren't ANY Mac OS drivers for this card.

That was my original thought but I too drew a blank. I was hoping someone would say - Ah you need to run xyz from the setup cd or something similar.
