Got the 20" inch imac with 512 ram. Going to put 512 in it tomorrow. How much speed did you notice it increase? In any mac not just the imac.

I don't think you are going ot notice a speed difference. You'll notice the computer being more responsive and snappy when you have multiple apps running.

No speed increase per se. It just won't slow down.

I don't think he meant buy putting a 512MB DIMM in the iMac that its going to take a 1.8GHz G5 to a 2 GHz G5...

yeah when u multitask you shouuld see the difference as well as boot up times i think

I don't think he meant buy putting a 512MB DIMM in the iMac that its going to take a 1.8GHz G5 to a 2 GHz G5... I didn't want him to think that his computer was going calculate things faster. I guess it is a speed increase, I just think that is a poor way to state it. Anyone know what I'm saying?
