Apple Support Down for maintenance till tomorrow morning?

The Support section of Apple website is down for maintenance.

"Due to a scheduled upgrade, some of the features of Apple's support site are currently unavailable. Please try after 8:00 a.m. Pacific on Sunday."

Has a section of Apple's website gone down for upgrade for over a day before?

Thank you. Is there an alternate website to check warranty. I bought an iPod Touch and want to see if it is still under warranty as mentioned by the seller.

I appreciate the replies and didn't start this thread speculating any crap. Nor do I care if a new iWhatever is coming or not, or if this is related to that or not.

All I need is to check the warranty of the ipod touch that I purchased.

Has the site been down for so long before?
Are there alternate sites to check the warranty?
