the 17 incher with 1.8 GHz and up:
-----------------------------------
17-inch widescreen LCD
1.8GHz PowerPC G5
512K L2 cache
600MHz frontside bus
256MB DDR400 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
64MB DDR video memory
80GB Serial ATA hard drive
Slot-load SuperDrive
-----------------------------------
and oh yeah..... just go to apple's (www.apple.com) website and look. Its printed all over the iMac's page.

I should have been more specific.. The model number and brand of drive. I am guessing it is a Matshita (aka Panasonic).

The great irony is now the eMac has a faster drive than the iMac. A tray loader up there would have been too big and been clunky to use. I think Apple did the right thing for a clean design, but drive speed was the trade-off.
